About us

SunflowerBio-fuels are compounds which are made from renewable raw materials, such as wheat or Jatropha, Sunflower and added to conventional fuels.  As renewable fuels, Biolife Fuels produce environmental benefits over mineral-derived transportation fuels.  They help to reduce overall emissions of greenhouse gases and other tail-pipe air pollutants and are a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.

There are two principal types of bio fuels: bio alcohols and bio-oils.

Bioalcohols
Bioalcohols, such as bioethanol or biobutanol are made from the fermentation of starches or sugars.  They are typically blended with petrol but can also be used in diesel blends. The beauty of bio alcohols is that growing the crops used to make them removes from the atmosphere the carbon released by cars when they are burning them.
Bio alcohols are therefore carbon-friendly fuels which are fully renewable. They can be made again and again without depleting the earth's resources.

Bio-oils
Bio-oils, such as biodiesel, are esters produced from oils such as rapeseed oil or palm oil and are typically added to conventional diesel to produce biodiesel blends.
